Founder & PrincipalJagzen’s founder and principal, Mr. Jesus Gonzalez, has an in-depth understanding of the financial inter-relational process needed for the success of a business. Mr. Gonzalez is a business executive who has worked primarily in roles of chief financial officer, investment banker, business valuator, and insolvency & restructuring advisor. Mr. Gonzalez has provided business owners and shareholders investment counsel and financial advisory services with respect to monetizing their investments in family-owned businesses and building generational wealth.
Furthermore, Mr. Gonzalez provides interdisciplinary counsel based on his deep understanding of finance, accounting, investment, and corporate strategy which navigates the complex world of the private-capital markets. His valuation work centers on closely held enterprises. Known for rigorous preparation and clear storytelling, Jesus pairs deep financial advisory expertise with creative deal structuring to maximize client outcomes. His approach consistently turns valuation insights into actionable investment strategies. Mr. Gonzalez has subject matter expertise in energy—upstream, midstream, downstream, renewal energy, oil-field services, carbon finance, and energy transition—plus in the transportation industry, supply-chain and logistics, healthcare, manufacturing, industrial, waste & recycle.
During his 28-year business career, Mr. Gonzalez has gained practical expertise in valuing diverse asset classes in the closely held private enterprises. These professional experiences have allowed Mr. Gonzalez to develop a broader understanding of corporate valuations within the deal making process. Mr. Gonzalez has worked across industries with significant depth of experience in the following industries: Energy, Transportation, Healthcare, and Technology Start-up (Software as a Service “SAAS”, Apps, Digital Wallets, Animations, E-Sports, and Facial Recognition).
A highly educated professional, Mr. Gonzalez holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with majors in marketing and international business. He also holds multiple graduate degrees: a master’s in finance, a master’s in taxation, a master’s in energy business, and a master’s in jurisprudence in energy law.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Gonzalez is actively involved in his local Catholic Church and charitable causes, including Catholic Charities, Goodwill, and children’s health and well-being. He is passionate about improving financial literacy and empowering others to make better financial decisions. Outside of work, Mr. Gonzalez is an avid tennis player, always eager for a competitive match, and most importantly a man blessed with a wonderful family.
